Who covers what

Most warranties on phones, laptops and branded accessories are the manufacturer’s, not ours. We are the route to it: bring the fault to us with your order number and we deal with the manufacturer or their service centre on your behalf. You do not have to chase them yourself.

Separately, and regardless of any manufacturer warranty, we are responsible for an item that was faulty when it reached you.

Typical periods

• Laptops and phones — usually twelve months from purchase.
• Batteries, chargers and cables — usually six months. Batteries are consumables; gradual capacity loss is wear, not a fault.
• Open-box and refurbished — as stated on the product itself, and always shorter. It is on the listing before you buy.

The exact period for your item is whatever the manufacturer states for that model. Ask us before you buy if it matters to your decision, and we will confirm it in writing.

What a warranty does not cover

• Accidental damage — drops, cracked screens, crushed hinges.
• Liquid damage.
• Unauthorised repair, or a device opened by someone who is not an approved service centre.
• Software, data loss, and anything you installed. Back up before sending anything in.
• Normal wear: scuffs, keycap shine, battery capacity declining with cycles.

Making a claim

1. Contact us with the order number and a clear description of the fault.
2. Keep the box and accessories if you still have them — some service centres require the original packaging.
3. Back up your data first. A repair or replacement often means a wiped drive, and we cannot recover what was on it.
4. We assess, then repair, replace or refund according to what the warranty allows.

Proof of purchase

Your order in your account is your proof of purchase — it records what you bought, when, for how much, and who handed it over. You do not need a paper receipt.

Unwanted, not faulty?

That is a return rather than a warranty claim, and it runs on a seven-day window instead.
